Reading is great; reading and discussing is even better. The African Cradle Book Club meets at our office in Mountain View, California once per month to discuss our chosen book. The discussions we have are powerful and very worthwhile. The setting is cozy.
Our book choices span a wide range of topics including transracial parenting, adult-adoptee memiors, works by black authors, books about Ethiopia, and books that will help us better understand racsim. Our next book is Toni Morrison's The Bluest Eye. Our next meeting is Saturday, December 17 from 3-5pm. Hope you can join us!
