Education

Education is the foundation of understanding. Adopted children face many challenges stemming from early and profound loss. These challenges include separation anxiety, attachment, low self-esteem as well as transracial and transcultural issues.. Through our classes and workshops, we provide families with the tools to help their child develop a positive and confident sense of self, resulting in a stronger family bond.

Supportive Services

Support for the families does not stop with education. Sometimes families need the benefit of one-on-one support with a professional who has experience working with adopted children and families. African Cradle provides comprehensive services including individual and family counseling and pre-adoptive consultations for families considering adoption.

Adoption Services

In addition to our education programs and supportive services, African Cradle has international adoption programs in the Dominican Republic, Ghana, and Haiti, and full homestudy services.
